How to get to the Utah Salt Flats:
Getting to the stunning salt flats is incredibly easy and convenient. It's literally just off the highway, nestled in the middle of nowhere, and depending on which direction you're coming from, you'll simply make that turn in, where you'll find a designated parking lot! Once you park your car, you can take a short, direct walk to the expansive flats and fully immerse yourself in all of its breathtaking beauty!
When I visited, I stayed in the small town Wendover, which is conveniently located about 5 to 10 minutes away from the salt flats. This proximity was incredibly convenient, allowing me the ease and flexibility to enjoy my time in the area and travel there within just a few minutes!
For each trip to the salt flats, I always make sure to bring along my trusty pair of crocs. When you venture out onto the salt, it tends to crust over your shoes, which can be a bit of a hassle. Therefore, I highly recommend bringing either flip-flops or crocs to ensure a more comfortable experience. Once you get home, you can simply clean your shoes, and the salt will come right off with ease, without causing you any trouble at all.
