Starting off strong with a Vegas staple! Red Rock is one of the most popular outdoor locations for engagement photos in Las Vegas and for good reason. There are so many beautiful spots throughout the area and each one feels completely different. Imagine yourselves in the open desert, dramatic red sandstone cliffs, or standing right on the rocks, there’s a location for it.
One of my favorite things about Red Rock is that you don’t have to hike miles to get beautiful scenery. There are plenty of easily accessible spots that still give you those iconic Nevada desert views. If you’re envisioning a classic desert engagement session with warm tones and stunning sunsets, Red Rock is always a great choice.
Mt. Charleston Engagement Photos
Where all the green beauty in Vegas is hidden haha! If you’re wanting a session surrounded by towering pine trees and mountain views, Mt. Charleston is such a beautiful option. It’s completely different from the desert landscapes most people associate with Las Vegas.
It’s also one of my favorite summertime locations because when the valley starts heating up, Mt. Charleston is always 10 – 20 degrees cooler, making it a great choice for couples who want to avoid the summer heat. Depending on the season, you can even find fall colors or snow, which is pretty magical for Nevada.

I personally love photographing here during blue hour. As the sun begins to disappear, the sky slowly fills with soft colors that almost look painted across the horizon. I know Death Valley is about a 2 hour drive from Las Vegas but it absolutely deserves a spot on this list. If you’re willing to make the drive, you’ll get some incredible landscapes in the Southwest.
From the iconic views at Zabriskie Point to the vast salt flats at Badwater Basin, every part of Death Valley feels completely different. The textures, colors, and dramatic scenery make it feel otherworldly. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want their engagement photos to feel adventurous and a little wild.
