Rainy Mt. Charleston Couples Session
Rylee, Victor, and I had their session planned and the day of it was supposed to be “bad weather”. Rain, fog, everything. But that didn’t stop us and we decided to go for it anyway! This Rainy Mt. Charleston couples session turned into some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken!

As we drove up into Mt. Charleston, you could literally feel the shift. We went from the desert into beautiful greenery and the deeper we drove the rain really started coming down. The mist rolling over the mountains and the raindrops pelting down, it felt like we were in a completely different place. It felt like a piece of Oregon tucked away in the mountains in Las Vegas.
No umbrellas (well… kind of😂). They had Trader Joe’s bags in the car so they used that to shield from the rain. Thankfully my friend Dj tagged along and held an umbrella over me the entire time so I could protect my camera and still get some epic shots! The real fun began when they put the bags down and fully embraced the rain.

Rylee and Victor fully embraced the rain. They turned it into a date, laughing, playing tag, dancing, and kissing in the rain. Honestly, it felt like everyone’s favorite scene in a romance movie. You can tell just how carefree and in love these two are.

These are the kinds of sessions I love most. Nothing went according to plan but somehow it turned into something even better. So this is your reminder, if your session day is forecasted to rain (and it’s safe), don’t be so quick to reschedule.
A Rainy Mt. Charleston couples session might just give you the dreamiest and moodiest photos and an experience you’ll never forget.
