Mt. Charleston Wedding at The Retreat on Charleston Peak

Mt. Charleston Wedding at The Retreat on Charleston Peak

If you’re dreaming of a mountain intimate wedding in Las Vegas that feels peaceful, romantic, and completely removed from the strip, The Retreat on Charleston Peak is one of the most scenic mountain wedding venues near Las Vegas! Located 45 minutes from the city, Mt. Charleston is the perfect setting for couples planning an elopement or intimate wedding in Nevada!

Memory and Mason’s wedding day at The Retreat on Charleston Peak was so beautiful. They adored the idea of mountainous beauty and all the greenery which is hard to come by in Vegas.

A Love Story That Started in 5th Grade

Memory and Mason have known each other since they were kids and getting to witness the full circle moment of them saying “I do” was incredibly special! Documenting their love that has grown up together from childhood to forever.

When Memory reached out to me she was drawn to documentary photography and that’s exactly what I offer! She didn’t want a wedding day that felt overly posed or performative, she wanted it to feel real and flow with the day. So that is exactly what we created!

Why The Retreat On Charleston Peak Is Perfect For A Las Vegas Wedding

Las Vegas is known for bright lights and chapels but just 45 minutes away sits a completely different atmosphere. The Retreat on Charleston Peak Offers:

  • Towering Pine Trees
  • Cool mountain air (perfect for the summer months)
  • Stunning mountainous backdrop
  • A peaceful and secluded atmosphere

A Day That Felt Like Them

Getting Ready & Details

I arrived during the final moments of her getting ready. Memory’s sister added the last few curls to her hair while her closest friends gathered around helping with the final touches.

Before she stepped into her ceremony, her friends circled around her and prayed over her and Mason’s marriage. It was gentle and full of love. One of the moments that didn’t need direction, just documentation.

Ceremony

As their closest friends and family waited, Mason stood at the altar. Memory walked down the aisle with her dad and the way Mason looked at her said everything. Her dress was absolutely stunning but more than that, she was gleaming with light. Her smile lit up the entire space and she carried that same joy throughout the day.

Reception

As the evening began they made a grand entrance into the reception. The energy instantly shifted into celebration mode!

They had multiple dances that beautifully honored Memory’s culture. It was a beautiful reflection of who they are and where they come from. We ended the night with their cake cutting and then I headed out leaving them to be with each other!

For couples searching for a Las Vegas intimate wedding venue that doesn’t feel like a traditional Vegas Wedding, The Retreat on Charleston Peak is such a beautiful option.
